My lovely friend Joy bought me 'The Style Diaries' for my birthday and im officially addicted. Now that I am at least one quarter of the way into this book I would like to appoint Kaylah Hadlington as my favourite blogger so far.
She had me with her opening quote
"When im feeling lazy, or i havent got much time, I find it easy to put on a pair of leggings, an oversized vintage man's shirt, and a belt"
(preaching to the choir)

Lauren Conrad is Forbes new lifestyle writer
Lauren Conrad, reality star, desinger and fashionista is a busy woman these days. LC just turned in the manuscript for her 5th novel, having had L.A. Candy land on the NY Times Bestseller list, had two successful shows, and is juggling two clothing lines.
So it's no wonder that prestigious Forbes magazine would ask her to write for them, especially for their lifestyle section.
The magazine says:
"Lauren’s jump from celebrity to entrepreneur puts her on the same trajectory as many a bright-eyed instant cover girl, but whether she can channel her persona into an enduring commercial tour de force remains to be seen. All considered, she’s off to a good start. Lauren Conrad, an exclusive women’s apparel line for Kohl’s, has burgeoned from placement in 300 stores to 1,000 in one year. Specialty clothing line Paper Crown, set to debut this summer, has already been courted by the likes of Fred Segal, Planet Blue and Nordstrom."
Starting Thursday, follow Lauren as she takes us on a four-month exploration of the fashion business, inner workings of a celebrity web site, the publishing industry and watch for beauty/style tips from the powerbroker herself.
Click here to follow Laurens thoughts.
Wow...Living the dream LC.

And the winner is.......
I have a terrible habit when it comes to award shows, I watch the red carpet pre show and use the ceremony as background noise to my Google image research on every outfit I just saw. Therefore, if you are wondering who won best movie, best kiss, or best villian at this years MTV Movie awards then keep clickin. If you're looking for best dressed, make yourself at home.
In order, starting with Mila Kunis as my winner, heres some of my favourite looks from the ladies of yesterdays red carpet, (Followed by the worst).
WINNER- Mila Kunis, who it would seem chose not to walk the red carpet, most likely so she didnt show anyone else up, pulls off the perfect MTV awards outfit. She looks casual but still dressy (MY FAVE) and still looks young, very MTV appropriate. Tthe skirt is by a designer called Balmain.
Selena Gomez - Selena looks adorable here, she really suits the nude trend cause shes so tanned, she makes a very mature outfit look young. Not sure I love the pointy shoe.
Jessica Szohr- This sort of outfit would never normally catch my eye, but I think its gorgeous on her, and MTV awards are most likely the only place you would get away with it so why not. Very 70's, and to still be sexy without showing skin or shoe, genius.
Blake Lively - The gossip girl cast must have an amazing team of stylists. Blake would look good in almost anything but this blue is amazing on her. The super high platform heels finish off the outfit. I would like to see her hair down and very big.
Kristen Stewart - Simple but perfect. Cant help but feel like she might have picked this out herself, it seems like a safe bet, but if it isnt broke dont fix it. Again, not loving the revivial of the pointy shoe (dont bring this trend back please) but love the simplicity and messy hair. Kristen finished off her no effort look by changing into white converse for the ceremony. (I refuse to post a pic of that)
Best Dressed BOY ALERT -Ryan Reynolds (swoon). Take note boys, this is how you do it. Ryan has pulled off that perfect, dressed down/ while still dressed up/ no effort / enough effort thing that screams, I dont try and im still hot. Navy and grey, the new black and white.
WORST DRESSED- Amanda Bynes- NO, just no! Too many trends, too little time. Long extensions, Body con dress, nude paired with brights, fringed shoes, platforms, white nails. TOO MUCH.

Lucy In Disguise collection is here!
The wait is over, Lily Allen and Sarah Owens have finally lauched their own collection named after their London store Lucy In Disguise.
Click here to see all the press pics of the line.
The collection spans through every fashion decade, Lily and Sarah have said they simply wanted to recreate vinatge style but with cleaner lines and more feminine features. Job well done I say.
The Lucy In Disguise collection is gorgeous, I havent been able to find any prices for it as yet, but with the line being sold in Harvey Nicholls I cant imagine it being very affordable. This is very dissappointing, with Lily having so many fans in their teens and twenties it would be nice if Lucy In Disguise could come out with a lower market collection very soon. Still, nice to look at, and a girl can dream (or save).
DONT FORGET.....Lily is this months star of Vogue.com's closet diaries. You can see what shes wearing every day in June, which is weird since she is getting married this month, does this mean we will get a first look at the dress. (doubtful).
Click here to see what Lily's wearing today. Enjoy.

Forever Fringed
Every so often, I come across a trend that I just cant let go of, even when it is considered "over" I will still be wearing it. Fringing is going to be one of these trends.
Fringerd jackets, bags, necklaces, shoes, shorts, leggings....ITS ALL OUT THERE....there is no point in me linking this post to one specific site, just try all the usuals, topshop, Urban outfitters, ASOS.com.
The best thing about it, is the DIY aspect. I am always broke, to the point where sometimes I cannot buy any clothes and have to recycle. This is where fringing is perfect. I probably have over 100 old t shirts lying about, and if like me your a T shirt girl its sooooo easy to fringe it yourself. Heres how I do it....
1. Firstly, put the T-shirt on and make a small mark in pencil or pen if you dont care at the lenght u want the T-shirt stop and fringe to begin. Do this so that you dont end up with the tee too cropped and the fringe showing bits of your stomach your not willing to show.
2. Lay the T shirt out as flat as possible on a hard surface like a wooden floor. (carpet will not keep the t shirt flat and just gets in the way as the fabric clings to it).
3. Find the mark you made and with a ruler continue it along both sides of the Tee to make sure all your fringing is the same lenght.
4. With any kind of household scissors start at the side of the tee and cut up to the line you have made. I HIGHLY recommend making each cut approx half an inch from each other. This is because when you wash the t shirt the little pieces of cut fringing will curl in on each other and become very thin and stringy.
5. Continue this until both sides of the Tee are done, dont be too fussy about cutting in straight lines etc as it wont matter once it is washed and they curl in, the only thing you need to worry about is sticking to the line you have drawn.
Heres my first attempt I did a few weeks ago in my friend Joys bedroom because i had no top to wear out. Try cutting the sleeves off to make it feel less like a T-Shirt.
Also, heres my new fave necklace...from H &M for £6.99

Lily Aldridge is the one
Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldridge is one of my top five favourite models at the minute. Lily has recently been approriately named the face of the new Victoria's Secret sexy little bride collection, which you may think is limited to brides only, but is nice enough to buy any time if your a lingerie fanatic.
Watch this video for more info on the collection.
Last Thursday Lily became Mrs KOL, (Im not jealous at all) she married Caleb Followill from Kings of Leon in a custom made strapless Vera Wang dress. THIS GIRL HAS THE BEST LIFE.
If you think you might love Lily as much as i do then click here to see her 'Today im wearing' feature for VOGUE.COM. Truly amazing.
